Women Harassed By Half-Clothed Man In Long Island Park

OYSTER BAY (CBSNewYork) -- A man wearing next-to-nothing has been harassing women at Massapequa Park on Long Island, police say.

The most recent incident happened in the middle of the day on Wednesday.

"I heard about it on Facebook," one woman told CBS2's Magdalena Doris. "A local mom who goes there rollerblading all the time posted a warning."

Twice this week, a half-clothed man approached women who were exercising. The man exposed himself before running away, police said.

Neighbors who live on the quiet streets around the park say they are shaken.

"If someone like that is walking around harassing people with his pants off, he should be locked up," resident Steven Tolentino said.

One woman plans to avoid the park until an arrest has been made.

"Definitely, without a doubt, I won't be in there," she said.

Nassau County police said they are increasing patrols both inside and around the preserve.
