Presidential Candidates Focus On Voters In Swing States
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- With only 17 days left until the presidential election, both candidates are focusing on the crucial swing states.
Hillary Clinton is going after undecided voters, while Donald Trump is vowing to go after his accusers, CBS2's Jessica Moore reported.
Trump visited the Civil War battlefield in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on Saturday, after laying out his goals for his first 100 days as president.
"We will drain the swamp in Washington DC," he said to his supporters.
The Republican outlined more than two dozen proposals, calling for term limits for Congress, a hiring freeze for most of the federal government, tax cuts for businesses and the middle class, and legislation to fund a wall on the southern border.
"With the full understanding that the country of Mexico will be reimbursing the Unites States for the full cost of such a wall," he said.
Trump also said after the election he'll sue the women who have accused him of unwanted sexual advances.
An 11th accuser, adult film performer Jessica Drake, said Saturday that Trump kissed her without consent and later propositioned her.
"Donald then asked me, 'What do you want? How much?'" Drake said.
The Trump campaign called the story totally false and ridiculous.
At a rally in Pittsburgh, Clinton tried to tie the state's Republican senate candidate, Pat Toomey, to Trump's controversial statements.
"If he doesn't have the courage to stand up to Donald Trump after all this, then can you be sure he'll stand up for you when it counts?" she said.
Trump also had events in Virginia and Ohio, and he will head to Florida on Sunday.
Clinton will be in North Carolina.
