Girl Scouts Cookie Cereal Is Coming In January 2017

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) --  It will soon be a lot easier to eat Girl Scouts cookies for breakfast.

General Mills announced in a tweet Monday that Girl Scouts cookie-flavored cereals will hit store shelves in January 2017.

It appears the cereal will come in two flavors: classic Thin Mints and Caramel Crunch, which is not available in cookie form.

The food giant plans to release more details at a later time.

The Girl Scouts of the United States of America will be celebrating 100 years of selling cookies in 2017.
