NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- If you have a little money – or a lot – and an interest in culture and history, we've got the place for you.

As CBS2's Dick Brennan reported, visitors might be surprised at what is for sale at the New York Art, Antique and Jewelry Show.

If you'd like to kiss the ring of the pope every day, or perhaps wear his bejeweled cross, you can if you've got the cash. The items, going for $1.9 million, were given by Pope Paul VI to the United Nations in 1965 to raise money for charity.

"This goes back to the 1890s, and it's made by the pope's atelier – the jeweler of the pope – and it's to me one of the most amazing pieces that have ever been for sale," Bill Rau said of the cross.

There is a lot more for sale the show.

"Monet paintings, blue diamonds, fabulous silver, tapestry, Chinese porcelain," said Scott Diament of the Palm Beach Show Group.

If American history is your thing, there are antique American flags -- lots of them. Campaign flags from Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Johnson are for sale, among others.

"This one here dates from 1916, and it's one of only four known designs where the stars actually spell something -- in this case 'USA,'" Jeff Bridgman of Jeff Bridgman American Antiques said of one flag.

You can purchase paintings and artworks from the masters and impressionists. And there is assortment of jewelry – bracelets, earrings, everything.

If you are more pedestrian, perhaps you might be interested artwork featuring Captain Kirk or the Lone Ranger. And if chess is your game, there are pieces you can't find in a pawn shop.

"There are items that are in the hundreds of dollars, thousands, tens of thousands, and millions," Diament said.

The show is at Pier 94 on the Hudson River at 55th Street, and is open until Sunday. Admission is $20.
