NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — So will we see Yoenis Cespedes back in a Mets uniform next season?

Mike Francesa said on his WFAN show Thursday he is leaning toward yes.

“I wouldn’t say that I’m overconfident that they will sign Cespedes, but if you put a gun to my head, I would say they will sign him,” Francesa said. “I think they understand that not only is he that important to what they want to do offensively that they cannot count on someone that they bring in of the same ilk.

“The only question mark around Cespedes is his durability. You don’t have any other question mark. You know he can perform here. You know he can thrive here. He’s carried the team here on numerous occasions. He likes it here. He doesn’t have any issues, and that is a big factor in our city as you know, because a lot of guys come here and just do not perform.”
