Construction Snarls Traffic On Garden State Parkway
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Construction on the Garden State Parkway caused major delays Saturday.
Five southbound lanes were closed between exit 129 and the Raritan tolls.
There were heavy delays in both directions, as well as heavy bridge delays between Route 35 and 39 from Perth Amboy to Sayerville, New Jersey.
Traffic was backed up to exit 131.
The construction is scheduled to last through 6 a.m. Monday.
