Rolling Stones Exhibit Makes US Debut In West Village
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An exhibit highlighting The Rolling Stones' five-decade long career has crossed the pond and is now on display in New York City.
Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood, Charlie Watts and Keith Richards celebrated the debut of the band's exhibit, "Exhibitionism -- The Rolling Stones," at Industria in the West Village on Tuesday night.
"They've been around for over 50 years and they've been a really important part of our popular culture," curator Eileen Gallagher said.
The exhibit features more than 500 of the bands' musical instruments, diaries, unheard audio tracks, dozens of original costumes as well as artwork by Andy Warhol and Alexander McQueen.
There's also recreations of the first London apartment the band shared in 1962 and their recording studio.
The Stones are releasing an album of blues cover songs next month.
The exhibit runs through March 2017.
