Bird Strikes Landing Plane At Newark Airport

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A bird struck a landing plane at Newark Liberty International Airport Friday afternoon.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the crew of Austrian Airlines Flight 89 reported the strike as it was landing around 1:19 p.m.

The incoming flight from Vienna landed safely without any injuries reported, according to the FAA.

The FAA continues to investigate the incident.
