LISTEN: Mike Francesa Says Giants' Win Over Cowboys Made 'The Earth Move'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It's a beautiful day to be a Giants fan.

WFAN's Mike Francesa opened his show Monday discussing Big Blue's 10-7 statement victory over the Dallas Cowboys the night before.

"There are days where you can just kind of feel the earth move, and today's one of those days -- or last night, we should say, was one of those games -- because the people who entered that stadium last night left with a whole different feeling than they went in that stadium with," Francesa said. "That is for sure, because one team arrived before our eyes, and the other one probably cast a few doubts on their way out of the building."

Francesa praised the Giants' defense, saying the unit seemed to get stronger as the game went on and withstood the loss of Jason Pierre-Paul, who is out for at least the rest of the regular season with a groin injury.

"Their defense yesterday played at a level that we haven't seen in a long, long time," Francesa said. "It's a long time since we've seen the Giants play defense like that against a quality team, against a great, great offensive line.

"No ifs, ands or buts, the Giant defense has arrived on the scene."

The win improved the New York's record to 9-4 and snapped the Cowboys' (11-2) 11-game winning streak.

But Francesa asked Big Blue fans to keep things in perspective.

"Try and keep it under control," he said. "They're not going to win the division. We know that. Cowboys aren't going to crash and burn now off this game."

However, Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott looked like anything but a rookie sensation. He completed 17 of 37 passes for 165 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions.

"A couple more 17-for-37s and they'll be making a call to the bullpen before too long," Francesa said. "That won't take too long. It won't take too many 17-for-37s for you fairweather guys to jump right off that 'Dak for president' bandwagon and right into, 'Tony (Romo), come help us!" Because last night, you know what he looked like? He looked like a rookie playing a good defense."
