NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Badly decomposed human remains were found inside a park in Flushing, Queens on Wednesday afternoon, police say.

Sources tell CBS2 a jogger found a skull and bones inside Kissena Park near 164th Street between Underhill and Booth Memorial avenues just before 1:15 p.m.

“It’s scary you know. I’m here literally every day. Whether it’s deceased of recent, it shouldn’t be there, that’s someone’s life you know,” George Decosta told 1010 WINS’ Roger Stern.

The New York City Medical Examiner’s office is working to determine the cause of death.

The victim’s name has not been released and no arrests have been made.
