Permit Issued For Removal Of Apple Store Cube
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The iconic glass cube, a beacon for Apple's flagship store on Fifth Avenue, will be coming down.
The city has issued a permit allowing the full removal of the glass structure.
It's believed to be part of a major renovation and expansion of Apple's underground store.
The project requires a site safety manager to remove the delicate glass and is expected to cost $2 million.
No requests have been filed yet to rebuild the cubicle.
