Off-Duty Officer Stabbed In East Elmhurst, Queens, Police Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An off-duty police officer was stabbed in East Elmhurst, Queens on Saturday night.

Police said the 43-year-old officer was stabbed in the arm near 30th Avenue and 94th Street around 9:30 p.m.

He was taken to New York Presbyterian/Queens hospital and is expected to survive.

Police said the suspect is also in the hospital.

No further details were immediately available.
