73-Year-Old Man Struck By Tractor-Trailer In Chelsea Dies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A pedestrian died after he was struck by a tractor-trailer in Chelsea early Tuesday morning.

The 73-year-old victim was in the crosswalk at Seventh Avenue and 25th Street just before 6 a.m. when he was hit.

He was taken to the hospital with head trauma and later died.

Investigators said the driver, 60-year-old Sydney Jones, did not have a valid license.

The victim has not been identified.
