Four People Jump From Burning Boat On Long Island
PORT JEFFERSON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Four people were forced to jump into the water off Long Island after their boat burst into flames.
It happened near the Danford's Hotel & Marina dock in Port Jefferson, reports CBS2's Mary Calvi.
It's not clear how the fire started but the local fire chief says it was probably mechanical.
The four boaters were pulled from the water by a jet skier.
They were treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation.
