DMV Offering 9/11 Remembrance License Plates

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A new license plate is being issued to honor those who died in the September 11th terror attack.

New Yorkers will be able to request the special plate for an initial $85 fee.

Drivers be billed for the plates every two years when they renew their registration.

A $25 portion from that annual fee will go to the World Trade Center Memorial Scholarship Fund.
