More Than 60 Arrested During Climate Demonstration In Manhattan
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Some 62 people were arrested during a climate demonstration Wednesday in Manhattan.
A group known as Extinction Rebellion gathered outside City Hall around 9 a.m.
Protesters called for the City Council to declare a climate emergency and pass the Climate Mobilization Act.
Some people could be seen lying in the street, impacting the entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge.
