Police Investigating Emergency Brakes Activated On Multiple Subway Trains Tuesday

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A police investigation continues into disruption on the subways Tuesday night after emergency brakes were activated on several trains.

Reports were posted on Twitter between 6:00 and 6:30 p.m. about incidents happened near 79th Street and 18th Street, causing delays on the 2 and 3 lines.

Service was also disrupted on the E and M lines when someone hit the brakes at Lexington Avenue and 53rd Street.
