MTA To Show More Detailed Subway Service Information On Signs, Online Apps
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The MTA is giving its subway communications system a makeover.
The upgrade will provide riders with more information about service changes and delays. MTA mobile apps, signage and the website will now give riders more precise service data.
For example, instead of simply reading "service change," the service status box will use categories such as "part suspended," "trains rerouted" or "local to express" and show which lines are affected by the change.
