2 People Found Dead After Reports Of Woman Being Assaulted At New Jersey Home
MAPLEWOOD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Two people have been found dead in a New Jersey home early Saturday morning.
According to authorities in Essex County, the bodies were discovered around 6 a.m. at a house on Walton Road near Jefferson Avenue in Maplewood.
Police tell CBS2 officers were called to the home after a report that a woman was being assaulted. A woman was found in the street outside the New Jersey home by first responders. She was rushed to an area hospital but was pronounced dead just after 7 a.m.
A man's body was also found inside the Walton Road home. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Their names and ages have not been released.
Autopsies will be performed to determine the causes of death.
