New Jersey Childcare To Get $54 Million Boost
TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - New Jersey's first lady Tammy Murphy announced Thursday the state's childcare subsidy program will get $54 million in increased funding.
Families who rely on the program could see an increase of as much as 10% in subsidies.
The first installment will occur this month with another coming in January.
Mrs. Murphy says a mother should never have to choose between paying her rent and keeping her baby in quality childcare.
