"It's gonna take my house I think… Oh no," the homeowner said watching her house float away in fast-moving waters.

Flooding in the area became so severe after heavy rain storms that the house was swept away in a Portland, New York creek Friday.

Portland is about 65 miles northeast of Syracuse.

In that same county, an 82-year-old priest died in the flood waters.
