Commuter Alert: Tanker Crash Sends Fuel Spilling Onto Roadway In Summit, N.J.
SUMMIT, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – A fuel spill may snarl the morning commute for drivers in New Jersey.
A tanker overturned while carrying gasoline on the Broad Street overpass above Route 24 in Summit.
Broad Street is closed between the overpass and Middle Avenue, and Morris Turnpike is shut down from Millburn Avenue to Mt. Ararat Road in Short Hills.
A HAZMAT team is expected to be on the scene cleaning the spill through noon.
No injuries were reported.
