Owl Found In Rockefeller Christmas Tree Released Back Into Wild

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A tiny owl found in the Rockefeller Christmas tree has been released back into the wild.

"Rocky" was discovered in the 75-foot Norway Spruce from Oneonta last Monday.

Ravensbeard Wildlife Center in Ulster County has been caring for the saw-whet owl since.

"Rocky's release was a success! She is a tough little bird and we're happy to see her back in her natural habitat," the center said in a Facebook post.
