NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A manhole caught fire early Monday in Brooklyn.

The flames broke out shortly before 3 a.m. in the 3700 block of Bedford Avenue in Sheepshead Bay.

The fire is burning just across the street from Madison High School.

Cars have been moved, and crews have roped off the area.
