NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A highly anticipated movie set in Manhattan’s Washington Heights will kick off this summer’s Tribeca Film Festival.

The movie adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s musical “In The Heights” will headline opening night on June 9. It will be shown at the United Palace theater in Washington Heights.

In a first at the 20th annual festival, the movie will be screened in all five boroughs at multiple outdoor venues.

The festival, which was canceled in 2020 because of the pandemic, runs through June 20.
