Hiker Finds Missing Woman Evelyn Zavala In Wooded Area Of Monroe Township

MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A woman who had been missing for two days has been rescued after a hiker found her in New Jersey woods.

Monroe Township Police say 19-year-old Emma Bodmer called police when she saw a woman in distress in Thompson Park on Monday afternoon.

Bodmer met the officers when they arrived and led them to the woman.

Police identified her as Evelyn Zavala, who was reported missing Saturday in Jamesburg. She had injuries to her feet, and officers carried her to safety.
