NYC Office Of Nightlife Proposes 24-Hour 'Entertainment Districts'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The city that never sleeps could soon live up to its name with a bold new nightlife recommendation.

New York City's Office of Nightlife issued a new report to the mayor's office.

One of the suggestions is 24-hour "entertainment districts," where it would be OK to serve alcohol and stay open all day and night.

The report says that uniform closing hours can lead to increased tensions because patrons all leave venues at the same time.
