NYC Helping Out-Of-Work NYCHA Residents Receive Training To Install Solar Panels

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York City is working with energy companies to train out-of-work public housing residents to install solar panels on the rooftops of New York City Public Housing buildings.

People who live in the buildings save about $120 a year on their energy bills.

There's also another perk; NYCHA rents the rooftops to solar companies.

Money from the rentals goes back into their budget.
