Empire State Building, Other National Landmarks Lit In Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness Month
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Friday marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The White House is just one of many landmarks lighting up in pink to honor those impacted.
In New York City, the Empire State Building was also illuminated.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, breast cancer is the second most common cancer affecting women in the United States.
