Elizabeth Landlord Accused Of Sexually Harassing Tenants, Housing Applicants Agrees To $4.5 Million Settlement
ELIZABETH, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- The Justice Department has obtained a $4.5 million settlement from a landlord in Elizabeth.
Joseph Centanni agreed to pay the settlement stemming from a lawsuit concerning his alleged sexual harassment of tenants and housing applicants over more than 15 years.
It still must be approved by a federal court.
It's the largest monetary settlement the Justice Department has ever obtained in a case of alleged sexual harassment in housing.
