NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Holiday travel chaos continues into the new year because of COVID-related staffing shortages.

More than 2,600 flights were canceled across the country Saturday.

It’s the highest single-day number since just before Christmas.

Locally, there were 125 cancelations at Newark Liberty International Airport, nearly 100 at John F. Kennedy International Airport and 70 at LaGuardia.
