Report: Borough Presidents, Mayor Eric Adams Will Discuss Plan To Plant 1 Million Trees In NYC

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- More than 1 million new trees could be planted in New York City if the five borough presidents get their way.

According to the New York Times, all five presidents of the boroughs are meeting with Mayor Eric Adams on Monday.

They will reportedly pitch a plan to plant 1 million trees by 2030.

During his campaign, Adams pledged to allocate 1% of the city's budget to the parks department.
