Manhattan's 14 Best Celebrity-Affiliated Bars & Restaurants

When you think of your favorites artists, like Justin Timberlake and Gavin DeGraw, you think of all the hits they've given us. When you think of Robert De Niro, you think of those movies that taught you everything you know about Italians, right? Well, perhaps you didn't know - but some of your favorite celebs may be closer than you think--in the form of restaurants, clubs and bars of course. By Vittoria Colonna, CBS Local.

Mesa Grill

Located in Union Square, celebrity chef Bobby Flay is serving up his signature American style cooking. The reasonably priced venue offers one of our favorite NYC brunch options.

Laughingman Coffee

This coffee shop was the vision of X-Men star Hugh Jackman. He came up with the concept after he met a man on a trip he took to Ethiopia. The goal is to open multiple shops around the world and donate most of the money to charity. We hear the "Flat White" drink, a hybrid of a cappuccino and a latte, is a must for coffee lovers.

This renowned Japanese restaurant is partly owned by our favorite local, Robert De Niro. Celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa is known for blending traditional Japanese cuisine with South American traditions as well. The A-list ownership, plus an A-list menu, comes with A-list prices. So if you just got paid and have money to spend, this is the place to be.

The co-owner of this Pan-Asian flair restaurant on Carmine St. is none other than film maker Quentin Tarantino. The menus are an ode to the film maker and contain movie posters for the films he's made.

Can't afford fancy sushi and Japanese cuisine? Dancing With The Stars and "Not Over You' singer Gavin DeGraw is the owner of this NYC dive. They serve good old fashioned charcoal grill pub food and drinks. His co-owner? His brother.  There have also been some celebrities crawlin' around this place. New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony at Angels & Kings

Former Fall Out Boy member and Ashlee Simpson's ex husband, Pete Wentz, is responsible for the super cool downtown bar. If you're looking for food, Angels and Kings is not the place to go--unless you want to drink your daily food groups in the form of beer, wine, and whiskey. Visits from celebs are documented using "mugshots" and can be seen on the bar's website. Check it out.

Other well known investors include Bill Murray, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Sean Penn, Ed Harris, Lou Diamond Philips, Russell Simmons, Peter Max, Christopher Walken and Harvey & Bob Weinstein of the Weinstein Company.

This BBQ restaurant is owned by Justin Timberlake and has awesome drink specials! They have two locations: one on the Upper East Side on Second Avenue, and one in Hell's Kitchen on Ninth Avenue.

This tourist attraction and family favorite is owned by Whoopi Goldberg, Demi Moore, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sly Stallone, and Bruce Willis. If you're a local and you're feeling a little tourist-y, Planet Hollywood in Times Square is a great place to grab a quick bite and a sweet t-shirt with the famous chain logo.
