There’s another great one in Metuchen, The Raconteur, on Main Street.

A very nice article featuring the services of local bookstores in northern NJ. It is sad to see that there are so few of these types of stores left. I wonder if it’s due to the fact that we live in an electronic age, or simply because so many of our younger generation do not see the value in reading a good book. Stop the texting and twittering and get reading. It may lead to a better future, and certainly a saner world!

This is a superb round-up of bookstores. It’s great to have a feature on indie bookstores. They are getting rarer all the time, and are really an essential part of the community, as the writer clearly understands. Very lively and informative.
