You already know where to drink on Cinco de Mayo, but do you know where to eat? We can help. By Yvo Sin.
When you think “Cinco de Mayo” the first thought in your mind may not be mussels, but let Flex change your mind! Offering “Fiesta Mussels” for Cinco de Mayo only, the dish boasts a confetti of bright peppers with tequila-infused broth, sweet shrimp and bell peppers, lime and jalapeno, serrano peppers. They’re also offering a dessert of margarita-custard filled donuts. Yum!
Maya’s Mexican Fiesta will put you in the right mood to celebrate: live mariachis from 6pm-10pm; handcrafted margaritas and Mexican small plates at the Tequila Bar, starting at 3pm; and a special 3 course menu in the main dining room for $50.

Barbecue and Cinco de Mayo go hand in hand – right? Try the Muy Caliente Margarita ($11), Habanero infused tequila the guest of honor, with fresh grapefruit and lime juice holding the train, or go straight to beer with $30 buckets of Mexican beer – two Negro Modelos, two Pacificos and two Coronas. In terms of food – try the shrimp relleno, or enchiladas de pollo, and cap it all off with flan de abuela – just like grandma’s.
In the botaneria, there will be an all night happy hour from 5pm- close with $6 margaritas & cocktails, and $4 cervezas. In the dining room proper (pictured), a five course Cinco de Mayo menu will be offered for $50 per guest, or $75 with cocktail/wine pairings. Call for reservations.
