A favorite in the Southern Westchester region, Hommocks Park Ice Rink offers public skating, a skating school, youth hockey and more. If you don't want to join in, you can sit in the heated bleachers or hang out at the Slap Shot Cafe. This fall, they are offering "Cosmic Public Skate Nights" every Friday night from 7:15-9:15pm, a night of disco and colored lights. You can either pay per visit, buy a discount card to go multiple times or buy a season's pass. Discounts are available for residents.

During the summer, Playland is known for amusement parks and boardwalks, but during the winter the park is known for three temperature-controlled indoor rinks. The rink offers special weekday times for Freestyle, Adult Skate and Child Puck Time. They also offer skating classes and extended holiday hours and special events. Weekly programs include a Friday Party Night from 8:45-11pm, Saturday Night Grooves from 8:45-11pm and Sunday Family Skating Day from 1:30-5pm.

This well-known Long Island ice-skating rink has played host to Olympic gold medalists like Nancy Kerrigan and was the New York Islanders (National Hockey League) practice facility from 1979 to 1992.Skating lessons are available, as is a skate rental. Ice rentals are also available on weekdays until 3 p.m., with fees of $325 per hour for proprietary groups and $295 for nonprofits. The rink also has a snack bar and bleacher seating. A fee is charged at the rink. The rink offers figure skating and ice skating lessons, ice hockey clinics and birthday parties. The rink underwent a extensive renovation over the summer of 2010. This is a rink widely known for its group class offerings. They offer classes for ages 4 and up, into adulthood. Public skating is offered daily from 12-2pm, again on Thursdays from 4-5:30pm, on Fridays from 8:45-10:45pm, Saturdays from 8:30-10:30pm and on Sundays from 1:45-3:45pm. Extended public skating hours will be offered during school breaks and holidays. General admission is $5.50 and skate rental is $3.50.

This popular Connecticut rink boasts NHL hockey players among its hockey coaches and Olympic gold medalists head up its skating school. It features two ice rinks, an arcade, a cafe, lessons for ages 3 and up. They offer a wide variety of lessons for ages 3 and up including shinny hockey, figure skating lessons, ice skating lessons and hockey. They are also home to the Springdale Ballet and Dance Academy with a professional, fully equipped dance studio and offers a combination Ballet-Skating Combination.
