Bob Heussler, a radio veteran, worked as a sportscaster in Connecticut for ten years before joining the FAN in 1993. He currently is the radio play-by-play voice of the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun. Additionally, Bob broadcasts Fairfield University basketball and has done play-by-play for UConn basketball and football. Huessler hails from Hamden, Conneticut and is a 1977 graduate of the University of Bridgeport.

Best On-Air Experience: Doing play-by-play the night UConn’s Tate George hit a last second shot to win an NCAA Tournament game and the night Fairfield almost upset #1 seed North Carolina in the tournament.

Funniest On-Air Experience: The day I won a Mets-Yankees bet with Mike (Francesa)…he had to sing a full rendition of “Meet the Mets.”

Favorite Caller: Jerome.

Interests: Other than sports…reading and computers.

Family: Wife Marcia, sons Stephen and Gary.
