Q: Hi Christina. Great BMW. What can you tell us about your ride?
A: It's a 2008 BMW X3, so it's probably the tiniest SUV they have on the road. I think it gets about 19 miles to the gallon.
Q: Do you drive it in and out of the city often? Is it used mainly for work or pleasure?
A: I do. Probably equally in and out of the city, 50/50. I use it for both, but mostly for work.
Q: And what do you do?
A: I'm in the wine and spirits industry.
Q: Nice. What's your favorite type of liquor?
A: I would say my favorite type is vodka, then tequila. My vodka drink would be a dirty martini, straight up, ice cold. My tequila drink would be silver tequila and club soda with fresh lemon and lime. None of these do I drink when I'm getting into my car! [Laughing]
Q: Let's say you've had a cocktail and you have to leave your car somewhere. What's the next best mode of transportation to get you where you're going?
A: If I have to leave my car, I'm getting into a cab. Finding a train, subway, or figuring out how to use one would not be my next step.
Q: What's your favorite pit stop to make in your car?
A: I found a very cute, deli-catering place that is in-between New York City and Nassau County on Long Island. I tend to stop there for lunch on my way back between meetings. I sit in my car and eat, which is pathetic.
Q: It's like a car picnic.
A: It is! And I'll open my computer and I catch up on emails.
Q: Mobile office! If you could do one upgrade to your car right now, what would it be?
A: Hydraulics are amazing! [laughing] Well, my lease is up and I was fortunate to get a really good deal on the car I have now, so the best upgrade would be to continue to lease another BMW because I love it. My upgrade would be black with tan interior and it has to have a sunroof. I spend so much time in my car, enjoying the car you're driving is very important.
Q: Why do you like your BMW better than any other car you've had?
A: It drives really nicely. It's a sports edition, which I love. It has a super-duper "I can go faster than I should be going" feature. It's just a comfortable ride. And it's cute!
Q: Lastly, why are we in the 59th Street Bridge area today?
A: Work, I have meetings in the area!
