Dear Fine Citizens of New York,

In case you haven't noticed the month of August is upon us- meaning there is only one official month of summer left.

We know; it's a shocking and sad realization.

We sincerely hope you've been making the most of the summer, but if you've just been sitting on your couch trying to beat the stifling heat instead of having fun, then it's time to get up, get out and make the most of what's left, and there's no better place to do that than the Black Flamingo.

The Black Flamingo is the latest, and maybe the only, vegetarian restaurant and dance club combo to come to Brooklyn making it the perfect (and surprisingly healthy) place for you to live up the rest of the summer. Yes, you read that correctly- it's first a vegetarian restaurant that turns into a pretty awesome dance club and cocktail spot at night, meaning you can get your grub on with delicious options like Oven-Roasted Eggplant and Guava Jam Grilled cheese, then dance off that Raw Tiramisu you had for dessert until the early morning.

Seriously though, this place is completely unlike any other. It has a food program that's dedicated to letting tasty veggies actually taste like the tasty veggies they are, and the space was designed to be an intimate and sophisticated hangout for all you Brooklyn hipsters to gather in. Plus it's crafted after a 70's champagne lounge, and has a serious focus on music, sound and intimacy, so it's sure to be swanky, which pretty much makes it the perfect date spot for anyone special vegetarian you're dying to impress.

So instead of sitting on your couch for the rest of the summer watching it pass you by, get up and get yourself over to the Black Flamingo for a night of veggies and fun; but don't worry- if you want to stay home and waste the summer away (loser), the Black Flamingo will still be here come fall.
