New York Fashion Week kicks off this week, and though the fashion bonanza is for a more exclusive (read: “by invitation only”) crowd, there are a few events open for those enamored by the glitz and glam. While you could spend your days hoping for an invite from Charlotte Ronson or Michael Kors, why not focus your efforts on RSVPing to one of the events below? While you won’t get to rub elbows with Diane Von Furstenberg or Donna Karen, you just might get inspired to create the next big line in fashion and land your own show. By Krissy Dolor.
