Arguably the best burger in town, Shake Shack offers up some mighty good grub that leaves everyone satisfied. Sit under the trees, surrounded by various art installations, and enjoy every morsel. And don't forget to stop by the playground on your way out to burn off the sugar from the addictive shakes. The single burgers ($3.75) are the perfect size for kids, for vegetarians try the shroom burger ($6.75) and don't forget the yummy, hand-spun shake ($5.25).

Perched on the Hudson River, this salvaged lightship offers an escape from the city while serving up good food. In the evening hours, after 8pm, it becomes a watering hole, but for lunch or an early dinner it is a great place for the whole family to enjoy a meal and some of the best views the city can offer. Try the sirloin burger ($9.23), the lemon-herbed chicken breast wrap ($9.23) and the garlic fries are a must ($3.69).
