For an alternative to the traditional Irish Pub visit, head over to any of the Southern Hospitality BBQ locations across NYC. They're serving up their own festive party with tons of specials. Guinness is $4, Irish Car Bombs are $7, and Jameson shots are $5. But don't fret, they'll still be providing the old standby Irish fare we all know and love.

Penned as a "day-long party filled with live Irish music, dancing, food, and, of course, the finest Guinness on tap", Spike Hill in Williamsburg is the place to be in Brooklyn during St. Patty's Day. You'll be offered a special menu consisting of corned beef and cabbage, traditional Irish breakfast, and more. And the best part, there's no cover. There may even be a giveaway or two to make sure you stay a while.

Tir Na Nog tops our list of the best bars and restaurants near Penn Station -- and we're also looking their plans for a St. Patrick's Day celebration. The feel is authentically Irish - a dark bar in front of you, the lilt of Irish servers and bartenders traveling to your ears, and the scent of Guinness wafting beneath your nose. The food is "upscale Irish", and on St. Patty's Day, you can be sure they'll have something special cooking.

St. Patrick's Day at Ulysses Folk House will consist of live music, DJ's, traditional Irish Breakfast served early, an outdoor food and drink tent where the Jameson and Guinness will be flowing, and much more. Starting at 6pm The Canny Brothers will be rockin' it out to all the evening revelers.
