NYC's 8 Best New York Fashion Week Cocktails For 2013

You won't need to be on the guest list during New York Fashion Week to find a front row seat to taste runway-inspired cocktails at some of the city's most stylish restaurants. Whether you're a fashion industry VIP spending the week running around Lincoln Center or just looking to shmooze with all of the glamourous people, these New York City bars and restaurants are fit for everyone to enjoy fashion-themed menu items during this September week of style. Just steps from Lincoln Center, A.G Kitchen is the perfect spot for a fashionable night out. Unwind after a long day of runway shows with the Rouge Runway, a strawberry and mint-infused cachaca with muddled strawberries and fresh lime topped with sparkling wine. This special Fashion Week drink is available from September 5-12th and compliments their delicious guacamole offerings, such as Pineapple & Pomegranate or a Papaya & Mint Guacamole.

Take a break from the "tents" with an escape to Paris, just a mere few blocks away at the authentic French Bistro Casimir & Co to taste their bubbly Catwalk & Pearls cocktail, only available during Fashion Week. Gin, Cherry Heering, Benedictine, grenadine, lime juice and a dash of bitters is shaken and poured into an old fashioned glass, topped with pearls (otherwise known as Champagne). Their East Village location is also a perfect spot for a leisurely brunch downtown in their backyard garden to relax during this hectic week.

Who wouldn't feel trendy and oh-so-chic while sipping a limited-edition cocktail? The Qui Couture at Casa La Femme is mixed with Qui Tequila, the first platinum extra añejo tequila on the market, with a silky smooth finish. Dine at this Egyptian restaurant in the West Village for this strong cocktail of Qui Tequila, orange-flavored liqueur, pink grapefruit juice, agave syrup, a splash of lemon and lime juice shaken and strained into a martini glass then topped with champagne and garnished with an orange peel.

Forty Four Restaurant at the Royalton New York will be launching their "Always in Fashion" Fall Collection cocktail menu in honor of NYFW. Three of the standout cocktails featured throughout the week will include The Pink Minkoff (with basil, watermelon, lemon, simple syrup, vodka and Prosecco), VW on Rodeo (with apricot liqueur, mount gay black barrel, simple syrup and lime) and The Todd Snyder (with brown sugar, half a dash whiskey bitters, crown maple and Applejack with a sprig of thyme).

Chef Marc Murphy's restaurant Landmarc in the Time Warner Center, just a few minute walk from Lincoln Center's shows and presentations, will be offering the PM Kick cocktail during Fashion Week. Strong and satisfying after a long day of shows and parties, the PM Kick, with Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila, fresh watermelon agave syrup and cilantro, offers delicious flavors with a kick of tequila to keep you going throughout the busy week.

The La Lola cocktail will be featured during this week of glamour at the newly opened Corvo Bianco on the Upper West Side. This bright and refreshing cocktail features muddled strawberries, vodka, fresh lemon juice, amaro nonino and Champagne. Who says red isn't the new black? Break the style molds this week with both your wardrobe and cocktails!

Carey Martin of Flatiron Hall has got the key to keeping you awake during this hectic week of shows, presentations and late-night parties. The Caffeine Catwalk combines Avión Espresso, Italian Espresso and soda water, served with or without milk and garnished with espresso beans. Sip it alongside a light lunch from their salads list or with a burger for a substantial meal to keep you full on the go.

Chez Josephine on West 42nd Street has been a Midtown favorite for over 25 years, gathering everyone from fashionistas and models to Broadway actors and celebrities. Jean-Claude Baker, the host and fashionable owner, has renamed his most popular cocktail "The Folies-Bergere" to "The Fashionista" for NYFW, comprised of Grey Goose Vodka, Chambord, Champagne and Lychee.
