Cinco de Mayo falls on a Friday this year, which means you have no excuse not to celebrate. Whether it's relaxing by the pool or keeping up with the DJ, here are our six picks for the best rooftop fiestas happening in NYC. By Carly Petrone.

Hudson Terrace is hosting a Cinco de Mayo Rooftop Party complete with a Mariachi Band and free drinks. The catch? You must show up before 6:30 p.m. to collect your drink tickets. Specials include 2-for-1 Don Julio Margaritas, $5 Modelo's, $8 Mango Margaritas, $8 Tequila Shots, and $10 Cocktails. DJ Dubbz will be spinning beats that can be heard throughout the indoor and outdoor rooms while guests get to participate in giveaways and walk out with a few party favors. VIP tickets start at $24 and include a 2-hour open bar from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. as well as exclusive access to the VIP Salon & Garden Terrace Rooms. Davio's Steakhouse is pulling out all the stops this Cinco de Mayo. Make your way up to their rooftop for a fiesta to remember starting at 7 p.m. Guests can sip on customized drinks at the Margarita Bar (featuring Super Premium Blue Hour Tequila) or opt for a traditional Mexican beer to wash down all of the delicious bites that are also available. Highlights include a Steakhouse Taco Bar, Elote Salad, and plenty of Mexican desserts. Grab a snapshot at the photo booth and make sure to take a swing at the piñata for the chance to win a Davio's gift card. Tickets are on the pricier side ($68 per person) but the #rooftopviews are definitely Instagram worthy.

Cool off with a dip in the pool while sipping on $5 Coronas and $10 Margaritas from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Take in the 360 degree views of the city and catch some spring rays before heading out for the night.

Head up to Haven Rooftop atop the Sanctuary Hotel this Cinco de Mayo for a night filled with dancing, food & drink specials, and amazing views. Starting at 4 p.m. you can enjoy Micheladas, frozen margaritas, $5 tequila shots, and $5 Mexican beer. Soak it all up with your choice of bites like ceviche, quesadillas, guacamole & chips, tacos, and nachos. A live DJ will also be there spinning beats until 11 p.m. so there's plenty of time to celebrate. Ladies and gents can take advantage of free admission until 5 p.m. along with happy hour specials that include $5 beer, $5 wine, and $10 margaritas.
