Celebrate Women in Art and Technology tonight at DUMBO’s A.I.R. Gallery. Artist Amelia Marzec will host an evening of presentations, discussion, and exhibitions from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Learn about female trailblazers in new media and listen to opinions from artists, curators, creative technologists, critics, historians, and researchers examine the gender gap and generation gap in terms of women’s participation in technology as a creative medium. Tonight’s speakers include Adrianne Wortzel, Ursula Endlicher, Marisa Olson, Bang Geul Han, and Abby Echiverri. Admission is free with suggest donation.

Are you obsessed with the creatures that live in the ocean? If you’re anything like marine biologist and National Geographic Explorer David Gruber then you’ll definitely enjoy tonight’s Secret Science Club event at the Bell House in Brooklyn. He recently uncovered dozens of cryptically aglow sharks, rays, eels, and other fishy beasts – come hear all about it! Sip on the cocktail of the night: the Skin of the Shark That Bit Me and dance to incandescent tunes before and after the Q&A. Event starts at 8 p.m. and admission is free.

The Knights will perform a live concert tonight at the Historic Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park. Conductor Eric Jacobsen will lead the program, which includes Old Hungarian Ballroom Dances by Ligeti, Divertimento for String Orchestra Sz. 113 BB. 118 by Bartok, Suite from “Run Rabbit Run” by Stevens, Ori’s Fearful Symmetry by Ljova, and Concerto in E-flat, “Dumbarton Oaks” by Stravinsky. WQXR’s Annie Bergen will host tonight’s Naumburg Orchestral Concert, which is now running for the 109th time. Show starts at 7:30 p.m. and admission is free.

Food and art have become quite good friend lately. From Instagram to still life, food has turned into a work of art in itself. Tonight, foodies and artists will discuss how food relates to us socio-economically, agriculturally, as well as culturally. Come for the panel, stay for the reception.
