Heat Visit Celtics To Open NBA Season

NEW YORK (AP) A person with knowledge of the details says the new-look Miami Heat will play the opening game of the NBA season at Boston.

The defending champion Los Angeles Lakers will host the other game on Oct. 26 against the Houston Rockets, the person tells The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the games were to be announced during an NBA TV special later Tuesday.

The marquee matchup comes earlier, when the Heat's new trio of Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh visits the defending Eastern Conference champions, led by their veteran Big Three of Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.

James' last game for Cleveland came in Boston, when the Celtics eliminated the Cavaliers in Game 6 of the second round.
