NEW YORK (CBS 2) — One day soon, some livery cabs in the City may not only give you a ride, but internet access as well.

According to the Wall Street Journal, there was a plan to make about 1,000 livery cars roaming wireless internet transmitters as early as Fall 2010.

Not only would riders be able to access Wi-Fi, web users within about 400 feet of the cabs could log on as well.

However, there’s just one hitch:  the signal may be uneven because the cabs obviously move.

There was no word on how they’ll solve that problem.
