This guy never deserves to see the light of day because he can’t function in society. That, and the fact that there are those who haven’t forgot what he took from us. I don’t think he’d be safe out of prison.

Chapman is guilty, but not of killing John Lennon.

Chapman was a patsy, just as Oswald, Sirhan, and Ray were patsies in the killings of JFK, RFK, and MLK.

The murders of people-power leaders by the FBI and international intelligence agencies didn’t start with JFK, nor did they stop with MLK.

If John Lennon is still dead, Chapman should be kept inside.

There are paroles/excons that have done what Mr Chapman to “regular”
citizens that are on the street after at least 7 years.
The only reason Mr Chapman is still in prison is because he killed John Lennon.
The man convicted of killing Malcom X is on the street.
Mental patients belong in a hospital not a prison.
A review of data from the US Department of Justicei llistrates that Mr Chaoman is still in prison because he killed a some one famous. If he killed Joe Blow he would have been released.

I absoutely agreed with you, Ben Saber. As well, freedom was what he never allowed John to have. Why does he sought for freedom? To do what with it? Kill another in the name of insanity???? If he is that sick … Prison is the best place for him to keep from hurting other people since he cannot be trusted and capable of taking care of himself other than killing. Let me ask this question … why killing another when that insanity head of his could as well tell him to end his life … kill himself???

They should have executed him in the first place so we would not have to take care of a killer for 30 years and pay people to evaluate him for parole every 2 years and the media wasting attention and we talking about his problem today.

I agree. I would hate to know that a cold-blooded murderer has been turned loose on our streets. In answer to the medication(s) mentioned by Collins let me ask, if his mental status dependeds upon meds, who will guarentee his daily compliance with such a medication regimen.

Why is he allowed to live at all? Our society is so weak. He kills a man in cold blood. Zero doubt of his guilt. He shouldn’t get to live.

Let him stay in prison. He has choosen for this and was able to think about the consequences too in 1980.

If the guy is mentally ill, let him out and give him a chance. With all the new medications out there available today, he may stand a chance to have a normal life. I think the guy suffered enough. Then again, he may not make in the outside world because he’ll still feel like he’s in prison because of all the media that will surround him and he won’t be able to get a job. All in all, it really doesn’t matter at this point whether he gets out or not. Don’t know what’s better, prison or a half-house with no job and complete loneliness. He’ll be better taken care of in jail anyway.

Let him stay in prison. He is still a threat to society because he is a mental patient and he could snap at any time. He chose his destiny.
