Shake Shack, Atomic Wings Coming To Coney Island?

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Some new restaurants could soon be coming to Coney Island’s famous boardwalk.

According to a report in The Daily News, Nathan’s Hot Dogs may face competition from trendy eateries including Shake Shack and Atomic Wings.

The two are said to be in talks with the Italian amusement company Zamperla, which launched the new Luna Park in May.

Eleven boardwalk merchants have reportedly been told to turn in business plans by the end of the month so Zamperla can decide who stays or goes.

They’ll have to make overwhelming sales during a 4 – 5 month window, as this venue could very well prove to be a mostly seasonal business.

  2. BF says:

Coney Island is a tough place to do business. The city charges a lot for rent and has rules. Not the mention mother nature
