Cab Driver In Bus Shelter Crash Apologizes
NEW YORK (CBS 2) -- A livery cab driver involved in a deadly crash in the Bronx was asking for forgiveness.
Pedro Marte left flowers at the site of the crash on Kingsbridge Road. Last week, he lost control of his car and plowed into a bus stop.
A 76-year-old man died. Six others were seriously injured.

Marte, who speaks Spanish, said he's sorry for what happened.
His spokesman translated his comments. "He wants the families to know that it wasn't his fault. He did everything he could to avoid this terrible tragedy. But he totally lost control and it was out of his hands," said Fernando Mateo, NYS Federation of Taxi Drivers.
Police said the driver of a minivan collided with Marte's Lincoln while making an illegal u-turn, sending Marte's car flying into the crowded bus stop.
The minivan driver has been ticketed for making an illegal u-turn.
